As I just said, we like bacon for breakfast a few times a week; and growing up in the South, I love BLTs. What I didn’t like was the cleanup involved in cooking the bacon. If I cooked it in a frying pan I had to clean my gas stove top (not a quick job), my countertop and my backsplash. If I used the oven it was more
time consuming and my whole oven got splattered. On top of that, the kitchen got smoky and smelled of bacon all day. I could cook it in the microwave, but the bacon never cooked evenly. And if I cooked it long enough to start crisping it, I invariably burned some or all of the pieces. Plus, I ended up with a bunch of greasy paper towels to dispose of.
So, that’s why I decided to order the Magic Crisp tray. It sounded like a good principle to me: raise up the food to allow the hot air to circulate under and around. This is supposed to keep moisture from getting trapped under the food, and to allow the foods to cook evenly and get crisp. Of course, the first thing I tried was bacon. I started off with the least recommended cooking time, and just added 15 seconds at a time until I found the perfect cooking time. Crispy and crunchy, just like the video promised.
Next, I tried leftover pizza, a real challenge to reheat correctly. Usually it turns out limp and a little rubbery if reheated in the microwave. Really impossible to get a crispy crust, like it just came out of the pizza oven. I placed the pieces on top of the Magic Crisp tray, started the microwave and we had crispy pizza for lunch. The texture of the crust and the evenly cooked toppings were very close to when we ate the pizza the night before in the pizza restaurant.
Whenever I know that our grandchildren are coming for lunch or supper, I make sure I have something they are sure to eat. This generally means chicken tenders, fish sticks, sweet potato fries or quesadillas. The fish sticks and fries are usually in my freezer. I pick up the chicken tenders from my grocery store, and make the quesadillas from scratch (really just a flat grilled cheese sandwich, but the girls think Mimi is making something special, like they get at the Mexican place close by).
I can make whatever I want to for supper, and quickly make them something I know they will eat. I haven’t make fish sticks with the Magic Crisp tray yet, but the chicken tenders and quesadillas turned out great. And cleanup is easy; I just quickly wash up by hand or stick the tray in the dishwasher. Mimi is such a kitchen hero these days!
I am recommending the Magic Crisp tray to my family, and to everyone who has college age children. This is also a real help for working mothers, and we all know how much the college kids rely on their microwaves. Actually, I would recommend it to anyone who cooks leftover pizza, bacon, frozen fries and anything that’s crispy. It’s nice to come home and get supper on the table quickly, whether you’ve been working, attending class or shuttling the kids back and forth to practice. It’s also great for late night snacks, when you want something quick and easy. Bon Appetit!
Magic Crisp Microwave Tray Review
There is a whole host of reasons why a pet store is a bad place to get a pet and it is an especially bad place to get a Rottweiler. You should always get your Rottweiler from a reputable Rottweiler breeder and someone that not only takes the time to breed and care for your dog before you get it but also teaches your dog the basics of surviving in a home
environment before you even take it to your home. There are a lot of really good reasons to avoid pet stores and the list gets longer every day.
The many different humane societies have a phrase for the place where pet stores get their puppies, and that phrase is puppy mill. In a puppy mill dogs are bred in unclean conditions and are kept in large numbers in cages in some dirty back room somewhere. They are fed and watered but they have no human interaction. Then the puppies are pulled out of a cage and sent to a pet store and sold to you. This is just the beginning of the pet store horror story.
When you get your Rottweiler puppy from a Rottweiler breeder your breeder will start you off with detailed care and feeding instructions that you can use to make sure you are giving your dog everything it needs. A breeder took the time to get your puppy used to living in a home setting and has tried to get your puppy used to the clatter and excitement that goes on every day in the average home.
A pet store clerk is there to ring you out and take your money. They usually know nothing about your dog and can offer you absolutely no advice that is going to help you in raising and caring for your dog. Your puppy has only seen people through the grate of a cage and has never been outside their cage so your home will be a brand new, and potentially terrifying, experience for your pet store puppy.
A reputable Rottweiler breeder will monitor the health of the dogs they breed and they try to make sure that the puppies they sell are without disease and have no health problems. Unfortunately not all health problems can be seen when they are puppies but a breeder will work with you if health problems arise later in the puppy’s life. To a pet store a puppy is a product supplied by a puppy mill. They have no idea if the puppy is healthy and, honestly, once you pay your money they do not care either. Your chances of getting an unhealthy puppy from a pet store are very high.
If pet stores would just settle on selling pet supplies and left the selling of live animals to qualified people who care then everything would be find. But they do not do this and they insist upon keeping puppy mills open by selling their product. Do yourself and the future of puppies everywhere a favor and see a Rottweiler breeder for your next puppy.

The Magic Crisp Microwave Crisper has finally arrived. Never have I been so excited about an As Seen On TV cooking product as with the Magic Crisp. Why? Because I really don’t cook.
Most As Seen On TV cooking products allow you to easily make meals or create super garnishes but they all have one thing in common. They help you cook! But
finally something for those of us who don’t cook but live on leftovers and frozen dinners. It may sound like an excuse but if your single or busy, you might cook that much and opt for the quick microwave alternatives.
The problem with Microwave cooking is that until now, most of the food just didn’t come out the way it was intended, or at least the way it looked on the box. Frozen Fried food like nuggets or fish sticks are soggy and have no crunch. Things like fries and pizzas are soggy and wet. But the Magic Crisp Microwave Crisper changes all of that and because of its design, we get crispy, brown and terrific tasting food.
Perhaps your life won’t change as much as mine has since I received my Magic Crisp but I’ve been using it so much that I really enjoy my version of cooking. Nothing takes me more than five minutes but I feel like the results are worth the price I paid to buy this thing online. The magic crisp is not in stores yet so if you want one, you are going to have to pay for shipping and perhaps suffer through some of the delays and charges associated with a lot of these products.
However, if you want some crispy bacon and perfectly done leftovers, you are going to want to grab the Magic Crisp. I find mine easily dishwasher safe and easy to clean. One added bonus that I didn’t expect is that since the food is raised on the special tray, not only moisture is dispersed, but the grease and oil from the fried foods is also dispersed. I suppose this makes it a little healthier than cooking on a regular plate.
I see no reason why the Magic Crisp Microwave Crisper won’t be the As Seen On TV hit of the year and I wouldn’t be surprised to ultimately millions of these things sold.
